It's Gappa: the triphibian monster! When a group of scientists on an expedition to a 'strange south sea island' take an infant creature back to Japan, mommy and daddy Gappa aren't too happy about it. So they proceed by land, sea, and air (triphibian, get it?) to retrieve the baby Gappa and make short work of the Japanese army while doing it. I think the trailer will explain it better than I.
