Godzilla 1998 Bust Papercraft

This is my Godzilla 1998 bust papercraft. While the more aptly named Zilla turned out not to be the Godzilla that fans were hoping for in 1998, the creature design still has its merits, especially in this particular form.
This is a recreation of a model by Masazumi Matsumoto.
Go to his webpage to see his work here:
http://blog.livedoor.jp/masazumi_matsumoto/
You need pepakura viewer to view and print this model which you can get for free from the pepakura website.

Download the model here.

Gappa!: The Triphibian Monster Papercraft!

Gappaaaaa!!
It's Gappa: the triphibian monster! When a group of scientists on an expedition to a 'strange south sea island' take an infant creature back to Japan, mommy and daddy Gappa aren't too happy about it. So they proceed by land, sea, and air (triphibian, get it?) to retrieve the baby Gappa and make short work of the Japanese army while doing it. I think the trailer will explain it better than I. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiyU7s65R_c

Mechagodzilla 93 Papercraft!

Well they tried it again. The best scientific minds in the world gathered together and decided the best way to beat a giant monster was still to build a giant robot version of that giant monster. Except this time they coated it with synthetic diamond.  They also had the opportunity to use technology from the future. Yes, the future, future, uture, ture, ure, re! More specifically, they salvaged a robot from the future; Mecha King Ghidorah (possible "future" spoiler alert!.. pun totally intended). Ahem, anyway, with it, the government was able to construct a
papercraf, er, machine far more powerful than they could otherwise. And with a giant attack plane named Garuda that attaches to make "Super-Mechagodzilla" to boot?? Heck yes!!

Godzilla GMK Papercraft!

Taking a break from the kaiju obscurity, and to spice things up a bit, here is Godzilla.. again.. but this time it's the GMK version. Those familiar with the vastness of kaiju fandom should know that gmk stands for part of the movie title that this particular goji was in. "Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters all out Attack!" In this movie, made back in 2002, goji returns to his rather evil persona, even purposefully breathing his atomic ray on groups of defenseless shoppers, for no apparent reason! Yes, to add to the malice of
this particular Godzilla they didn't even give him pupils! How evil is that?! But all kaiju collection need their especially villainous additions. Download and make your very own gmk Godzilla today! His pupil-less eyes will strike terror into the hearts of your roommates. He comes with his own ocean diorama for him to rise out of, not featured here, as well as a gmk style atomic breath effect part.

Titanosaurus Papercraft

The kaiju obscurity continues... Still, this lesser known tooth and claw kaiju holds a special place in the hearts and minds of kaiju fans everywhere. Despite his rather villainous role in his debut film, Titanosaurus is normally a shy, docile, and sensitive creature. Ever since he was misused and controlled by mad scientists and evil aliens he's been looking for someone, near water, to love him unconditionally and to keep him away from sonic waves.

Varan Papercraft

You better believe it! It's Varan, the Unbelievable! Yes, that's his official movie title. It was a play on words, see? *cough* Anyway, in the movie, Varan menaces helpless villagers, dopey biologists, and, of course, the citizens of Japan. How does he seem to get around so well, you ask? Well, by land, sea, and air! Yes, air. You might have noticed those extra folds of skin on his side? Varan can use those just like a flying squirrel, but with more momentum. Enjoy your very own Varan, complete with village diorama and varan shrine statue to go with your other paper kaiju.

Gorosaurus Papercraft

Another one for the tooth and claw kaiju. Here's Gorosaurus. One of the more obscure characters of the toho univerise, Gorosaurus is still loved by kaiju fans everywhere. When not kangaroo kicking King Ghidorah flat on his faces, Gorosaurus prefers the quiet life on Monster Island... Unless being controlled by aliens to go and destroy the Arc de Triomphe. Speaking of which this papercraft Gorosaurus comes with his own little Arc de Triomphe for him to triomphe over. Have fun.

Gigan Papercraft

All your planets are belong to us!
Rotary cutter in action!
Gigan; the original robot chicken. But don't let that pun fool you. Gigan (the showa version anyway) has definitely given Godzilla a run for his yen from time to time. Between flying around without wings, sawing things with a built-in rotary cutter at his alien masters' commands, and squealing his little cyborg squeal, Gigan has become a favorite kaiju baddie of kaiju fans everywhere. And now you can enjoy your own little paper Gigan complete with his own functioning rotary cutter! You probably won't be able to saw buildings buildings with it but there are probably a few papercraft buildings you could download somewhere. You might be able to make a few tears if you use thick enough paper for his saw. You can get this guy at either Papertoyadventures or here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/34001434@N06/sets/72157640192498146/ Be sure and right click and select 'original' to get the full resolution. Baragon Papercraft

Sure it isn't exactly an epic kaiju character but, er, uh, wait, what am I saying? Who wouldn't love a giant reddish brown, dog-rabbit-rhino monster? You can get this guy either on Papertoyadventures or here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/34001434@N06/sets/72157640201883954/ Be sure and right click and select 'original' to get the full resolution. Mothra Papercraft

Here's to one of the only kaiju who's been a good guy, err, girl, throughout her entire movie career. Everybody, hold on to your antennae... it's Mothra! Sure, she may seem like just a big bug but she's much MUCH more. She's a big, magic, benevolent bug who loves the earth and all it's people..... Yeah, I think only Toho co. ltd. could think that one up too. But just the same, that doesn't mean she shouldn't be on your shelf! She'll also look very good on top of your printer as I've found out myself. So download your very own mothra today! She's, yes I'm gonna say it, Moth-Tastic!!!
You can get her either at Papertoyadventures or here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/34001434@N06/sets/72157640200203545/ Be sure and right click and select 'original' to get the full resolution. Have any questions? Don’t hesitate to ask, comment, reblog, etc.

Mechagodzilla (showa) Papercraft

What's the best way to fight a giant monster? Build a giant robot version of that giant monster, of course! I mean, this is kinda common sense here, people. Not to mention, you get brownie points if you build it out of a metal that doesn't really exist. (i.e. space titanium... it's titanium. From space! Which makes it way better than ordinary titanium now doesn't it?) And now you can build your own Mechagodzilla. This one's the showa version.
You can get him on Papertoyadventures or here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/34001434@N06/sets/72157640202290063/

Gamera Papercraft

It's everyone's favorite, giant, flying, fire-breathing turtle.. with tusks! The friend of all children; Gamera! The Showa era version.
